Important COVID
Announcement
Release Date: April 1, 2021

Attention Skyhoundz LCQ/WC competitors: If you are planning on attending the 2020-2021 LCQ/World Championship, please make note of the following important information: For those traveling to the Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Championship this October in Chattanooga, Tennessee, please note that all competing canines will be required to wear appropriate COVID protection, when competing on the playing field, as the CCDC (Canine Center for Disease Control) has advised of the danger of transmission between canines. Additionally, please maintain six feet of distance between canines of non-family groups. By alerting you to the fact now, you will have plenty of time to get your dog accustomed to wearing a mask while competing.
Here are the steps to getting your dog trained to wear a mask.

Step 1: Place the mask over your dog’s head and let him/her get used to the feeling of having it on.

Step 2: Gently guide the mask over both of his/her ears.

Please Note: Smaller dogs can adjust to wearing masks as easily as larger dogs.

Step 3: Praise your dog for wearing the mask without issues and you will soon find that he/she can comfortably wear it.
We understand that canines will have difficulty catching discs while wearing face masks, so, skilled Skyhoundz judges will determine whether the competing canine would likely have made the catch without the impediment of the face mask.
We look forward to seeing you and your dog(s) at this year’s LCQ/WC and wish you safe travels.
